This May, we had the opportunity to host a delegation of 14 investors from the nation of Uzbekistan and one individual from Pakistan at our Deland facility. These gentlemen were part of a study group in conjunction with the World Food Logistics Organization (WFLO)/Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA). Kicking-off their time in the states, they attended the IARW-WFLO Convention in Hollywood, FL exploring industrial cold storage insulated building panels and learning about the American cold storage industry. As they worked their way North towards Washington, DC, we had the opportunity to host them at our North American headquarters in Deland, FL.
We spent the day with the delegation providing an introductory session on Kingspan panels and a plant tour for the group. Paul Bertram, our Director of Environment and Sustainability attended the session and highlighted the energy and environmental aspects of Kingspan's approach to the US and global market. We were able to give a produce overview highlighting insulated panels and cold storage wall performance in various temperatures and benefits of a PIR foam. Mat Murray, our Deland Plant Manager, then provided the delegation a tour showcasing the process of creating Kingspan panels.
Building relationships is something that is important to us here at Kingspan Insulated Panels. This was a great opportunity to partner with GCCA, and also partner with global community members. The global advantage is just one of the advantages of working with a company as established as Kingspan. We hope to have them as a customer utilizing our facility based in Turkey in the coming future.
