KS42 Shadowline

Cold Storage Wall Panels

Kingspan's KS42 Shadowline cold storage panel is a cold storage wall system that is flexible in design, can be applied to multiple building applications, and is available in multiple thicknesses. The KS42 Shadowline cold storage wall system has been extensively tested for compliance with various industry standards and building safety codes.

Cold storage wall panels are the ideal unit for clean safe and food safe storage. Kingspan’s cold storage wall panels surfaces are washable, allowing strict hygienic control, making the a high demand for clean safe users. Kingspan panels range of profiles and coating, accepted by CFIA and USDA resist moisture ingress and eliminate any risk of toxic mold or bacterial growth. Ideally suited for environments where precise temperature is required, panels available in 2” to 6” thickness allow control specific operating temperatures from -40ºF( -40ºC) to 104ºF (40ºC), which allows users to store food safely. The insulated panel features a tight-fitting tongue and groove interlocking joint which eliminates the build up of bacterial growth, which allows booth clean safe and food safe users to store their product without worry.

KS42 Shadowline panels are suitable for new and retrofit applications across the cold storage, commercial and industrial market sectors. Kingspan's cold storage wall systems provide superior airtightness, low thermal bridging, and thermal performance of high R-value. This can result in energy cost savings of as much as 30% over traditional multi-part cold storage systems while increasing a building's aesthetic appeal.

Sustainable Benefits of KS42Shadowline

  • Energy efficiency. IMPs have a core of continuous, rigid insulation for industry leading R- and U- values with superior airtightness performance.
  • Indoor environmental quality. IMPs help ensure a stable interior environment.
  • Recycled and Recyclable. The exterior skins contain a substantial amount of recycled content, and the panels themselves are recyclable.
  • Recycled, low-weight materials. Made with recaptured metals, IMPs weigh only 3 pounds per square foot, reducing transport and installation energy.
  • Eased construction. IMPs are simple to detail and attach, reducing schedules and installation errors.
  • Life-cycle benefits. IMPs last as long as the service life of a typical commercial building. The durable panels also reduce operational costs for energy and maintenance, and offer multiple end-of-life reuse options.
  • Building certification and green targets. IMPs contribute to LEED certification programs and the path to Net-Zero Energy targets.
